Cover Letter

Cover Letter Builder

A cover letter is not a retelling of your resume — it answers “why this job, and why you”. The tool below writes one for a specific role in a few minutes.

Leave blank and the letter says “your company”.

Check the employer name and job title once more before you send it — getting those wrong is the costliest mistake in a cover letter.

Structure

How a good cover letter is built

Four paragraphs, 180–250 words in total. The structure keeps it readable and stops you leaving anything important out.

  1. 1. Opening (2–3 sentences)

Say which role you are applying for and why this employer. Give a concrete reason, not generic praise.

  2. 2. Body — first paragraph (3–4 sentences)

Take your strongest piece of experience and tell the story behind one bullet on your resume, including the result.

  3. 3. Body — second paragraph (2–3 sentences)

Take the second capability the posting asks for and show where you have it.

  4. 4. Closing (2 sentences)

Ask for the interview and say thank you. Keep the closing short.

For an example and the mistakes people make most often, see the structure above bakabilirsiniz.

Frequently asked questions

About cover letters

Is a cover letter required?

Not unless the posting asks for one. It does make a visible difference for career changers, anyone with a gap to explain, and applications sent straight by email.

How long should a cover letter be?

180–250 words. Anything longer than a page goes unread. Short and specific always beats long and general.

In the email body or as a separate file?

Unless the posting asks for a file, the email body is fine. If it does, attach it as a separate PDF.

Can I send the same letter to several employers?

The base text can stay, but the opening paragraph must change every time. A letter where even the employer name was not updated is spotted immediately, and it counts against you.

Is my cover letter stored?

No. What you type stays in your own browser. When you ask for a suggestion the text is processed but never saved.
